Do you plan on buying a camera for your spinning?
This might be too long or too much to read but please consider reading the whole thread. Thank you!
This is basically a summary of the pros and cons of using these cameras.
Digicam
Sample video for digicam

Webcam

Choosing what you would use is completely up to you.
Q&A
1.) I just bought a webcam that was said to be able to reach 30 fps. When I used it on my pc it only reaches 10-20 fps. WTF?!
This is a common problem for webcam users. Try these steps. https://ppsc.forumtl.com/t172-how-to-increase-webcam-frame-rate#2192 If this doesn't give your cam any improvement at all, it may be because of your webcam or pc speed.
2.) I am curently using a digicam that has 7 megapixels. How come my video quality still sucks?
- The 7 megapixels of your camera are used on pictures. Not on videos. An average digicam is restricted to only 320x240 to 640x480 resolution for videos. Thats about the size of a youtube video.
3.) Where did you learn all these stuff?
- In my almost 3 years of spinning, I tried using a webcam, camera phone, digicam, video cam (a video cam is basically a more expensive digicam. Still a digicam. ). I'm just trying to share my experiences with you guys.
4.) What camera do you use for your latest videos?
- Microsoft Lifecam VX-7000. I don't know how much this is. This was just a gift for me.
5.) What's the difference between a video cam and a digicam?
- Digicam are made for taking pictures. Video cams on ther other hand were made for videos.
Digicam:
Video cams are way better in terms of videos compared to digicams. But the bigger price tag, added frame rates, higher resolutions, extra features aren't really necessary for ps. All you need for ps is around 25-30 fps and a resolution of 320x240 - 640x480. If you're going to buy a camera just for ps, then go for a digicam or webcam. If you're going to use it for other videos that require clearer resolutions and faster frame rates, then go for video cams.
Please do ask more questions and I'll try to answer them the best I can. Hope this helped!

Webcam
- Spoiler:
- Pros:
- The memory is only limited by your Pc's drive memory.
- Provided you already have an angle, you only have to setup the camera once. You can leave it there and turn it on when you need it.
- Most webcam's videos consume less memory than the ones digicams produce.
- Very light.
- Versatile angles. (Not restricted to tripods. I stuck my webcam on top of my lamp with a piece of tape. )
- If used properly can equal the quality of digicams. (Read Question 1)
Cons:
- Needs proper treatment to maximize quality. (Read Question 1)
- Your angle would be limited to somewhere near your pc or laptop.
- Wired.
- Lower quality pictures.
